FAQ
How long does the PierMagic warranty last?
For the original homeowner, qualifying PierMagic repair work is covered for as long as they own the home, beginning once final payment has been received.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship within the original repaired area. If qualifying movement occurs, PierMagic will correct the issue as needed to stabilize that area.
What counts as qualifying movement?
For piering repairs, qualifying movement means downward vertical movement of 1/4 inch. For wall pull-back or push-back repairs, qualifying movement means horizontal movement of 1/2 inch.
Does the warranty cover the entire foundation?
No. Warranty coverage applies only to the specific areas included in the original scope of work.
Can the warranty be transferred if I sell my home?
Yes. If the home is sold within the first year after completion, the warranty may be transferred in full to the new owner. If the home is sold after the first year, the remaining warranty may be transferred for up to 10 years from the original completion date.
How do I transfer the warranty?
The warranty transfer must be completed within 60 days of closing and properly executed before the sale is finalized. A one-time $150 transfer fee applies.
What can void the warranty?
The warranty may be voided if the property is not properly maintained. This includes issues such as poor drainage, improper grading, neglected gutters, sump pump problems, downspouts discharging near the foundation, or failure to complete routine repairs.
What should I do if I think I have a warranty issue?
Review your original repair area and check for qualifying movement. If you believe the issue falls within the warranty terms, contact PierMagic so the concern can be reviewed and next steps can be determined.
